General Information
The Program for Academic and Creative Extension (PACE) serves students who have been found to be intellectually advanced and identified by the YCDSB as gifted learners. Gifted learners have the opportunity to participate in differentiated programs for English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. The delivery model enables these courses to be specifically modified to meet students' needs by extending the depth and/or breadth of covered topics, compacting content to provide for rapid pacing, substituting different or more abstract materials, and providing enrichment learning experiences.
St. Theresa of Lisieux has adopted the Advanced Placement (AP) Program as the delivery model for our PACE students. The AP Program is an internationally recognized program that has enabled millions of students to take university-level courses and exams, and to earn university credit or placement while still in high school.
