Department Description:
The Science Department at St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School provides a variety of courses to ensure scientific literacy for every secondary school graduate. Courses reflect the learning styles of individual students and include study in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth and Space Science. Catholic Graduate Expectations are incorporated in each lesson ensuring that students learn to make responsible decisions and become lifelong learners.
Students enrolled in Science Courses will:
- understand the basic concepts of science;
- develop skills, strategies, and habits of mind required for scientific inquiry;
- relate science to technology, society and the environment.
Each of these expectations is defined more specifically within each of the courses that make up the science program.
